SmartHoney project progress

Researches performed in framework of SmartHoney is focused on creation of WSN based system for comprehensive real time bee family monitoring inside and outside of hive.

HSLayers-NG hacking week

HSLayers-NG development makes great steps. To tweak this progress and make crutial decision BOSC has prepared one week of hacking in Valmiera. During this week was prepared two new integrations of HSL-NG with actual applications.

First one is integration with Liferay portal. Second one was integration with Jan Jezek’s OpenGL map application.

Valmiera Future Internet Hacking week

BOSC and RTU Valmiera managed to prepare one week of Hacking to exchange knowledge between Latvians and Czech SMEs which are making development using FI technologies. BOSC and Lesprojekt is working together on SmartHoney project using FIWARE to provide better technologies for honey industry.

Participating organizations were CCSS, HSRS, UWB (CZE) and BOSC (LV)

FATIMA kick off

BOSC successfully participated in neogation of new project called FATIMA: FArming Tools for external nutrient Inputs and water Management.

This effort was finished successfully by kick off meeting in Lisboa, Portugal.

Overall goal and vision:
To establish innovative and new farm tools and service capacities that help the intensive farm sector optimize its external input management (nutrients and water) and productivity, with the vision of bridging sustainable crop production with fair economic competitiveness.

 

Open Data Hackathon report

The OPEN DATA HACKATHON was organized as a part of 18th International Conference on Information Systems for Agriculture and Forestry together with the European projects SDI4Apps, FOODIE, Smart Open Data, Apps4Europe and Open Transport Net from 15th till 17th September at the Latvia University of Agriculture, 2 Liela Street, LV-3001 Jelgava, Latvia.
