Data Protection Policy

Data protection is of high concern for the company Baltic Open Solution Center (BOSC). The following data protection policy is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union including the used terminology.
By means of this data protection policy, BOSC would like to inform the general public of the personal data BOSC collects, uses and processes.
As the controller, BOSC has implemented numerous technical and organisational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through its website. However, Internet-based data transmissions may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to transfer personal data to us via alternative means, e.g. by telephone.

Applications (events)

The applicant or his/her legal representative, in case the participant is under the age of 18, freely gives a consent to process applicant’s personal data provided through the application form (e.g. name, surname, date of birth, phone number, email address) by BOSC, as the controller of such personal data.

Photos, audio and video

The participant of an event organised by BOSC freely gives a consent to use photographs, audio and video recordings of him/her taken during the event. Such photos and audio and video recordings can be used by BOSC for a record of the event, publicity material for further activities or events on leaflets/websites/magazines, illustrations of the activities or events in published articles and future grant applications.

Personal data protection

The personal data, collected in an encrypted way through the information system of BOSC or via a third party data processor (see below), will be processed solely for the purposes they were provided for. The access to the personal data will be limited to a restricted group of BOSC administrative workers. The personal data won’t be kept longer than necessary.

Third party data processors

Third party data processors include Google (Google Privacy Policy), which is EU-U.S Privacy Shield compliant.
On its website, the controller has integrated the component of Google Analytics. The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyse the traffic on the website of BOSC. Google uses the collected data and information to evaluate the use of the website and to provide online reports, which show the activities on the websites of BOSC.
